Nick Igdalsky has managed to balance the life of a racecar driver with the life of a racing professional. Igdalsky is the grandson of Drs. Rose and Joseph Mattioli, the owners of Pocono Raceway, and holds the title of the track’s Senior Vice President. In addition to handling the marketing and operations at the legendary Tricky Triangle, Igdalsky has been collecting race wins and titles since the age of 16.

Igdalsky’s driving career began in open wheel racing in 1993 after gaining advanced instruction from the Bertil Roos Racing School. Igdalsky started competing in Formula 2000, regularly winning races at the amateur racing level. After competing in just one Bertil Roos F2000 Pro Series event, officials were so impressed by Igdalsky’s performance that they offered him a position as an instructor at the Bertil Roos Racing School.

Igdalsky took a four-year hiatus from racing in order to earn his degree in Marketing and Management from Elon University. Following graduation, he began racing again and competed in a handful of Bertil Roos Pro Races and SCCA events.

In his first SCCA regional race, Igdalsky drove his Crossle Club Ford to a 22-second victory, beating every car in his class, as well as the faster Formula Ford class.

Igdalsky then brought his talents to the SCCA National Formula Mazda series. In his debut race, Igdalsky drove from the rear of a 25-car field to finish in second place to some of the Northeast’s best Formula Mazda drivers.

After relocating to South Boston, Virginia, Igdalsky began his transition to short tracks and stock cars. In his rookie season in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, Igdalsky raced in South Boston Speedway’s Pure Stock Division, earning awards for scoring the most poles (seven), most wins (three) and most laps led.

Igdalsky’s second season in South Boston Speedway’s Pure Stock Division was marred by mechanical woes, which forced him to compete in three different cars throughout the year. Despite his struggles, he still found himself leading the division's Points Chase, and narrowly missed claiming the Pure Stock Division Championship.

In 2006, Igdalsky entered only four races in the Pure Stock Division, winning three of the four and tying for the most wins of the season. The following year, Igdalsky returned to Bertil Roos, finishing fifth in points in the F2000 Series with two wins and four podium finishes in only seven races.

Igdalsky finished third in points in F2000 in 2008, collecting five wins and six podium finishes in eight races. He currently is ranked seventh in all time Bertil Roos Series wins, totaling nine victories and 14 podium finishes in 21 career starts.

During the 2009 season, Igdalsky competed in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series, driving the No. 47 Mustang for JBS Racing and joining forces with his cousin Chase Mattioli as co-driver. Igdalsky raced in eight of the 11 races scheduled and still managed to finish 21st in the 2009 Koni standings and fourth in rookie points. Igdalsky also made his ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards debut at New Jersey Motorsports Park, starting and finishing in the top-15.

In 2010, Igdalsky will run full-time in the ARCA Racing Series, driving the No. 1 Modspace Ford for Andy Belmont Racing.
